I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Rom 12:1-2

What I Believe About the Bible

I am attending a wonderful small group Bible study. The first homework assignment was think/discuss (with scriptural supports) this question: "What do you believe about the Bible?"

I would encourage you to do this on your own. Clarifying your views on the Bible is crucial if you are going to use it in your life. Is it a collection of stories, is it myth, is it allegory, is it historical, is it literal, is it true? What does it do for us? How should we use it? Who is/are the author(s)? What is its purpose? These are just some questions to get you thinking.

I will post what I came up with in my next post, but you really learn the most when you do your own digging. Don't just take my word for it. Get in there and study it out on your own.
